Vice President of Marketing
Jim Grosspietsch is a distinctly creative, results-oriented marketing executive with more than twenty years of success in marketing, sales, and communications for privately-held IT consulting, software and architecture/engineering firms. As Marketing VP, Jim oversees the extensive behind-the-scenes efforts required to develop and manage CBIG’s marketing department and integrated marketing strategy.
Throughout his career, both as an independent consultant and as part of a growing enterprise, Jim has excelled in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings that require a hands-on approach to strategy, planning and marketing communication programs. Jim’s critical thinking skills and inquisitive nature are among the substantial assets he draws on in the continuing evolution of his creative vision and technical expertise. At CBIG, Jim leads the marketing team in activities that include brand and message development, lead generation, web site design and analytics, thought leadership promotion, SEO and local search strategies, social media and blog development, event marketing, analyst relations, public relations, online advertising, partner programs, and more.
Jim continues to share his expertise through public speaking engagements and seminars for private firms as well as public university entrepreneurial programs. His work has also been recognized in various marketing and business publications throughout his career. Jim possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree, Marketing, and Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Jim earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree, Concentration in Marketing, also at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
